PowerPoint Regenerator 2011

 

PowerPoint Regenerator 2011 isn’t a very well known PowerPoint recovery software but it’s definitely a jewel in the rough. After I tested several PPT recovery programs, I was deeply impressed by its fast working speed, rich recovery features and advanced search & recovery options. I give it 4 stars .

 

The price of PowerPoint Regenerator 2011 is $59.95, however because it is a shareware, you can download a free trial version which let you scan the entire hard disk to find the lost PowerPoint files. Downloading and installing PowerPoint Regenerator 2011 is very quick and easy. The download size is only 4.4 MB, this is really something out of my expectation. And the installation just took me a few seconds to complete.

 

Run the PowerPoint Regenerator 2011 and its user interface is shown as follow. There are not many options within the program, which i like as it keeps everything very easy. Just choose the drive you wish to recover PowerPoint from and click “Next” button.

 

 

Then there is a window let you select the document type including Word, Excel and PowerPoint to restore. Just click the “Microsoft Office PowerPoint” option. In addition, this program let you set file size limit on files to be recovered, any lost files larger than the limit will not be recovered. (The less file size limit you set, the faster recovering speed you can gain by the way).

 

 

After that, click the “Next” button to start the scan. The scan itself is amazingly quick. When I tested the Word Regenerator 2011, I let this program recover my lost PowerPoint Presentations from F: (BACHUP) 87gb. And it took me only 28 minutes to finish the scan to F: drive, the speed was really quite good.

 

 

Once the scan is complete you are taken to the preview panel (Sadly, preview for PowerPoint document is not available in the current version, and the developers claim that they will implement this preview feature soon). In the upper left corner of the preview panel, you can check the PowerPoint option and click the “Save All Files to Disk” to recover all the PPT files found. You can also select the PPT files found which you need to recover in the lower right corner. In addition, there lists PPT files information including File name, Author, Date created, Number of pages, Number of words, Template and more. In the lower left corner of the preview panel.

 

 

All in all, REMO undelete is a great data recovery program that is very quick. If you lost PowerPoint files (.ppt/.pptx) because of accidental deletion or overwriting, hard disk format or repartition, virus attacks etc., you can use the free trial version of PowerPoint Regenerator 2011 to see what can be restored before you purchase the full version.
